EFL TEACHERS’ PERCEPTIONS AND THEIR REPORTED PRACTICES OF ENACTING THE COMMUNICATION AND CULTURE SECTION IN THE NEW ENGLISH TEXTBOOK

The development of globalization and integration requires a modern workforce with 21st-century skills, especially intercultural communicative competence (ICC). Thanks to the National Foreign Language 2020 project, new English textbooks were introduced Vietnamese students hope prepare them for ICC. Research on how EFL teachers explored teaching materials has been made, but previous findings show limitations teachers’ practices in communication culture section. Hence, this descriptive research was conducted investigate perceptions their reported enacting A mixed-method approach employed collect quantitative qualitative data. Seventy-two Mekong Delta responded questionnaire seven joined semi-structured interviews.
